Strawberry yoghurt cake

Preparation: 15 min
Cooking time: 30 min

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 1 Frutos strawberry yoghurt

Use a yoghurt carton as your measuring cup:

  • 2 cartons flour
  • 2 cartons sugar
  • 1/2 carton oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1teaspoon baking powder
  • A few drops vanilla essence

Preparation:

Ask a grown up to turn the oven on to 180 °C (thermostat 6).
In a mixing bowl, use a wooden spoon or spatula to mix the flour, baking powder and sugar.
Then add the eggs, oil and vanilla essence
Pour your preparation into a buttered sponge dish
Bake in the oven for ˝ hour (more or less).
Ask a grown up to help you check if the cake is baked by inserting a knife into the cake. If it comes out "clean" or with a few crumbs, your cake is ready to be eaten!

Tip:

You can vary the flavours by choosing apricot or any other flavoured yoghurt…


Apple and chocolate chip muffins

Preparation: 10 mn
Cooking time: 20 mn

Ingredients (for 12 muffins):

  • 2 Yoplait plain or flavoured yoghurts (use one of the cartons as a measuring cup)
  • 2 cartons flour
  • 1 carton sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 25 g melted butter
  • 1 large apple
  • 50 g chocolate chips
  • 30 g flaked almonds

Preparation:

Pour a yoghurt into a small bowl and wash the jar which you will then use as a measuring cup.
Mix the flour with the sugar and baking powder.
Add the eggs then the 2 yoghurts.
Mix using a wooden spatula
Add the melted butter.
Pour this mixture into the holes of a silicone muffin tray.
If you don't have a muffin tray at home, use small glass baking dishes.
Peal the apple and cut into small cubes.
Arrange the cubed apples, chocolate chips and flaked almonds on the muffin mixture.
Bake at Thermostat 6/180°C for around 20 minutes.

Tip:

Amaze your friends, warm your muffins for 2 seconds in the microwave and serve with a scoop of ice-cream.


Banana ice cream

Preparation: 15 min
No cooking required
Freezing time: 1 day

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 2 bananas,
  • 2 plain Perles de lait,
  • 50 g granulated sugar,
  • a few chocolate chips.

Preparation:

Mash the bananas with a fork in a bowl.
Add the 2 jars of Perle de lait, the granulated sugar and chocolate chips.
Divide the mixture into 4 into small dishes and freeze for 24 hours before eating.
Take them out of the freezer 20 minutes before eating.

Tip:

You can also mix this with ice cubes to make a delicious milkshake.
